We are a Our goal is to live sustainably and love unconditionally. We are using permaculture techniques and working toward a food forest in harmony with our native plants and wildlife. Our animals are all cherished members of the farmstead and each serve a valuable purpose. Our poultry forage and free range protected from predators by our livestock guardian dogs.
About Mercy Gates Farm
Our little family farmstead is growing...as we raise more than what we need we are looking to share with our community. We love to barter and trade goods and services. We hope to open our farm soon to private visits to meet the critters and perhaps even carriage rides in our beautiful antique Victoria horse drawn carriage.
ORGANIC-ish, FREE RANGE & LOVED
We use organic, holistic practices whenever possible, but are not a certified organic farm. Our animals are not caged or confined in crowded barns. We free range and free nest our poultry, even allowing them to raise their own offspring whenever they'd like. We calf share rather than separating calves from their momma. This is what works best for our farmstead and we're happy to share if it works for you too. :)
